Crocheted Mesh Bowl - Black

OVERSTOCK - NEW - 3 x Available

A truly pioneering product: a beautiful range of luxurious crochet bowls and baskets which live comfortably in contemporary settings, while preserving the connection to the rich tradition of the versatile craft of crocheting. Using locally sourced hemp, cotton and water-based resin the seemingly delicate large-scale forms belie their strength and durability. In an array of crochet laces the patterning and elegant silhouettes of these decorative forms make for a totally original interpretation of woven vessels. The crafters are women from the Khayelitsha township in Cape Town, South Africa.
